Fishing Podcast Episode #98 - Travis Moran of Lucky Tackle Box (luckytacklebox.com) spoke with the Nerds about this lure monthly subscription service that specializes in species specific boxes and educational videos. Dave and Clay offered up some new box themes and administered a classic Fish Nerds quiz. Travis kindly offered a $10 discount for listeners who type in promocode FISHNERDSLTP. "Fish in the News" focused on the shocking news that Uncle Josh pork rind baits will no longer be manufactured.

Fishing Podcast Episode #94 - With the holidays here and the year coming to a close it's time to use up our leftovers! Just like the pasta that was forgotten in the freezer or that jar of pickled herring from last Christmas, the Nerds have scraped the cutting room floor for some stories that for whatever reason never made it on the show. Last October Tim Moore Outdoors took Clay fishing for lake trout and they actually caught fish! Daddy Mac provided the lures, Old Town provided the kayaks and apparently the Lord provided Clay with some much needed luck. Hugo Medeiros, a Fish Nerds correspondent from Massachusetts caught up with Go Fish Dan Kennedy and asked him about his popular fishing show on Youtube and his upcoming expo. Finally, Dave pulled a story he did with Captain Morgan of Guildford, Connecticut. The Captain tells some great tails about the wide-range of characters that enter his shop.
Fishing Podcast Episode #97 - The Nerds spent the weekend at the Rockingham Hunting and Fishing Expo in beautiful Salem, NH to get the latest industry scoop, see old friends and talk to fans of the show. The crowds were wild and so were the vendors as Dave and Clay asked the question "What is the number one secret in fishing?" This extend episode includes two Fish In the News segments dealing with rotting fish sauce and free fishing apps.
Fishing Podcast Episode #92 - The Nerds had a great time on their fishing podcast talking with Skyhorse Press Author Jerry Hamza about his new book "Outdoor Chronicles: True Tales of a Lifetime of Hunting and Fishing. Jerry discussed the challenges of being an outdoor writer, what it's like to fish with George Carlin, and how he felt about the movie "A River Runs Through It". Dave reads a short excerpt from the book and the guys challenge the writer during one of their world famous fish quizzes.

Fishing Podcast Episode #93 - Dave and Clay focus their fishy talk on a dirty word in some fishing circles: bait. In this fishing podcast our intrepid heroes discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using bait. Fans are part of the show this week as the Nerds relay the results of the latest Facebook poll on the Fish Nerds Podcast group. Dave interviews Zombait co-founder Matthew Borowski to find out why we need a fishy robot to bring our dead bait back to life. Zombait is nearing the end of their kickstarter campaign and they need Nerd help. The Nerds end the show by promoting their upcoming appearance at the Rockingham Fishing and Hunting Expo

A proposed product called "The Fish Call" is taking Kickstarter by storm. As of the time of this recording, father and son team Jeff and Jack Danos are 664% funded, with $66,471pledged - and they still have 18 days to go! We caught up with the 16 year-old Jack and asked him some questions our fans had about their new product. What kind of fish does it attract? What is the science behind its development? Jack was great at answering the questions and he was a good sport dealing with the Nerds as we had fun pitching new sound ideas and joking about going to his homeschool prom. We hope this young entrepreneur can turn "The Fish Call" into the next Duck Dynasty (Fish Nerd Fan Jeff Dannaldson suggested Redfish Regime).
